- Saturday, October 22 at 7 PM – I’ll be presenting a 10 minute vampire-inspired performance piece for RADAR presents the 20th Anniversary of The Gilda Stories by Jewelle Gomez co-starring Baruch Porras-Hernandez and Aaron Joseph. It’s gonna be hella vampirific, that’s all I’ll tell you. Also, Michelle Tea interviewed me for the RADAR blog, check it out!
- Monday, October 24, 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM – In a culmination of my professional and artistic self, I’m curating performances at the Art Bar during The Wallace Foundation Cultural Participation Initiative in the San Francisco Bay Area‘s Beyond Dynamic Adaptability. I’m bringing to the table Bay Area drag and activist superstar Lil Miss Hot Mess to interview internationally renowned researcher Alan Brown (WolfBrown), drag and performance artist Maryam Farnaz Rostami/Mona G. Hawd to share an excerpt from her one woman show Persepolis, Texas, and Baruch Porras-Hernandez to flex his poetic prowess and share audience written haikus on cultural participation. - Wednesday, October 26, 8 – 11 PM – BoozeTube joins our sister night FANBOY at The Lone Star for an all out UNDEAD extravaganza! ZOMBIE CATWALK will feature YouTube ZOMBINGO, Zombie Apocalypse TRIVIA and a ZOMBIE CATWALK COSTUME CONTEST! As always, we’ll have great prizes and cheap drinks. DJs Crowderism + jimmy.swear will be on hand to provide all the catwalk soundtracking needs. Zombie costumes encouraged and we’ll have the basics for those ready to get drunk and undead, courtesy of Evan from Oui Three Queens. Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, we’ll be crawling out of graves after all.
